Harrisburg, North Carolina
Wilson Harvey Caudle, 85, of Harrisburg, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026. Born on August 16, 1940, in Union County, North Carolina, Wilson lived a life defined by devotion to his family, hard work, kindness, and faith.
Wilson proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962 as an Armor Crewman. During his service, while returning home on leave, he met the love of his life, Louise Caudle, at a bus station in 1962. Their chance meeting became the beginning of a beautiful life together. Wilson and Louise shared 62 years of marriage before her passing in 2025. He missed her dearly and often said he was ready to “go home” to Heaven to be reunited with her. Their family finds comfort in knowing they are together again.
A skilled precision machinist by trade, Wilson dedicated many years to his craft before opening and operating his own machine shop until his retirement. He was respected for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to help others.
Wilson never met a stranger. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued. His warmth, humor, and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Louise Caudle; his parents, William Harvey Caudle and Sarah Catherine Thomas; and all seven of his siblings.
Wilson is survived by his children, Janet Meyers, Sylvia Eddy (Kerry), and Teri Mills; his grandchildren, Andrew (Jessica), Amanda (Salem), Regina (Michael), Wilson (Kathryn), Jacob, and Matthew; and his great-grandchildren, Hailey, Gabriel, Camden, Kail, Preston, Liam, Kyson, Louise, and Rachel.
Though his family mourns his passing, they rejoice in the promise that Wilson is finally home, reunited with the love of his life and at peace.
An intimate service will be held at Sunset Memory Garden (8901 Lawyers Rd., Charlotte, NC 28227) on June 11 at 11:00 a.m. for immediate family members and close friends.
The Caudle Family have entrusted arrangements to Roseboro's Mortuary & Crematory.
