Charlotte, North Carolina
October 7, 1953~ March 24, 2026
With deep love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Susan Louise (Cloninger) Wagner, 72, who went home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Susan was born on October 7, 1953, in Clearwater, Florida, to Paul and Beulah “Boots” Cloninger, who preceded her in death.
Susan was a woman of unwavering faith, quiet strength, and a heart that consistently put others before herself. Her love for God was the foundation of her life, shaping the way she cared for others—with compassion, humility, and grace. Even in her battle with cancer, Susan never wanted sympathy. Instead, she chose to continue lifting others up, offering encouragement, and sharing her light with everyone around her.
She was a devoted and loving mother to Haven and Justin (Rosie) , who were the center of her world and her greatest pride. Her love multiplied through her seven cherished grandchildren—Sarah, Kaitlyn, Siena, Hawkins, Channing, Makayla, and Lincoln—each of whom brought her immense joy and meaning.
Susan is also lovingly remembered by her four brothers—Dennis (Joni), Steven (her twin), Rock (Terry), and Bob (Heather)—along with nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and strength.
She will be remembered for her selflessness, her deep compassion, her steadfast faith, and her ability to make every person feel valued and loved. Susan lived as a true reflection of her beliefs—serving others, loving deeply, and walking through life with grace no matter the circumstances.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date, with details to be shared once finalized.
In honoring her memory, we ask that you carry forward her example—love unconditionally, give generously, and keep your faith at the center of your life.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, her lessons, and her spirit will remain with us always
