PINEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA
August 19, 1960 - August 15, 2023
Robert Edwin Blackwelder, (Bobby) 64 of Charlotte, NC passed on August 15, 2025 at Atrium Pineville, following a lengthy illness.
His parents Jim and Barbara Blackwelder, his two children Katie & Coby, brother Jimmy, brother-in-law Roy Massey, and nephew Roy Massey Jr. predeceased him.
He is survived by his son Robert Blackwelder Jr. Grandchildren Kyle Earl Robert III (Tre), Adara Faith, and Holly Maeve of Muskogee, OK., siblings Ann Massey (Billy), David Blackwelder (Marcia), Julie Thorton (Ivey) all of Charlotte, sister-in-law Bertha Blackwelder of Iron Station, NC and best friends Leah Hanson and Tracey Rose of Charlotte.
The family would like to thank Bill Buffkin and Sonya Caudle for their friendship, love and care for Bobby in the last few years. Bobby considered them his Guardian Angels.
Because Bobby had such a love for animals, we ask that any donations be made to the Humane Society of Charlotte, or to Steele Creek Church of Charlotte "Trinity Chapel" 1929 W. Arrowood Rd. Charlotte, NC 28217.
At Bobby's request there will not be a service.
