Noreen Louise (Einsweiler) Enerson

KANNAPOLIS, NORTH CAROLINA

Noreen Louise Enerson, 82 passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Noreen Louise Enerson, who passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, at the age of 82 in the care of Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care in Kannapolis NC after suffering from the effects of multiple strokes and progressing dementia. 

Born in Chicago IL on December 25, 1942, Noreen was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Nora (McCloskey) Einsweiler. She was a devoted wife to Edward and a loving mother to Daniel Enerson and Tricia Kogut and grandmother to Morgan and Lucas Enerson.

Noreen and Ed had moved from Palatine IL to West Bend WI for his career and she worked there as a legal assistant for a law firm until she retired in 2006. In 2023, she moved to Mooresville NC for health reasons and to be closer to her son and his family.

Noreen will be remembered for her generosity and love of friends and family. She found joy in spending time at the family lake cottage in northern Wisconsin, gardening, baking, reading and sewing. She always loved cooking and entertaining friends and family. 

Noreen was predeceased by her parents, brother James, husband Ed and daughter Tricia. She is survived by her sister Pat Bercier, son Daniel (Susan) Enerson and grandchildren Morgan and Lucas Enerson and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a private gravesite service in Illinois with family and close friends to be scheduled for a future date. 

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to be offered to the Dementia Society of America or Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care in Kannapolis NC.

Interment will be held at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines IL.
