Charlotte, North Carolina
January 29, 1965 - April 10, 2026
Louis Eugene Perry was born on January 29, 1965 at San Bernardino Community Hospital in San Bernardino, California.
Over the course of his life Louis lived in California, Japan, Texas and North Carolina – embracing each place as a part of his life’s journey. Louis had a deep love for music and found joy in cooking and spending time with family especially during visits to California and Texas. He cherished being out on the water, whether on the San Francisco Bay, Holden Beach or along the coast of North Carolina. His spirit of adventure took him to Italy and Ireland; both experiences he held dear. Louis was a passionate sports fan – albeit an avid Dallas Cowboys supporter, and found enjoyment watching golf.
A devoted man of faith, Louis was an active and dedicated member of All Saints Anglican Church in Weddington, NC. He faithfully served as an usher and greeter. He participated in the men’s retreats, bible studies, and generously gave his time preparing meals for his beloved church and community. His presence there was a meaningful part of his life and an absolute blessing to others.
Throughout his life, Louis faced significant health challenges including a seizure disorder and cancer. He met these trials with strength and determination fighting valiantly until his passing on April 10, 2026.
He is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Loretta and Lloyd Muldrew; and his younger brother, Robert L. Perry. He is survived by his immediate family, including his father F. L. Perry of Colton CA; his beloved aunt and caregiver, Gladys C. Perry of San Pablo CA; his aunt Caroline Chapman of Arizona; brother: Tyrone Perry (Nicole) of San Bernardino CA; sisters: Jaquelynn Perry of Los Angeles CA, Carol Perry Mearidy (Solomon) of Houston TX, Taramoni Muldrew of Fort Worth TX, and Ericka Reid of Raleigh NC. His blended and extended family also includes bonus siblings, and a whole host of cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends, as well as the many members of his cherished church family – all of whom will carry his memory forward.
Services will be held on May 23, 2026 at 3:00pm.
