Louie Harold Owens, Jr., 73, passed on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

Louie H. Owens Jr., 73, was born to the union of Doris and Louie H. Owens Sr. in Squire, WV. Louie received his formal education in McDowell County Schools in McDowell County, WV. After graduating from Big Creek High School in War, WV Louie was enlisted into the United States Army in 1971.

Louie was united in marriage with Theresa Ann Trigg on January 19, 1974 in Bluefield, VA. Their union was blessed with three children, where they later moved to Charlotte, NC. Louie held many titles, but the most important titles he had the honor of holding were husband, father, and grandfather. Louie cherished family most and created many lovely memories.

Louie departed this life on October 19, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Owens; his mother, Doris Owens; and his father, Louie H. Owens Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons: Justin (Ashley) Owens; Khary Owens; and Jason (Kendra Allison) Owens; as well as his grandsons, Jacori and Jaxon, all of Charlotte, NC and his sisters: Carole Owens of New York and Rhonda Neal of Maryland. 

A visitation will be held for Louie on Wednesday, November 01, 2023 at 12:30pm at Roseboro's Mortuary & Crematory, 4300 Statesville Rd. Charlotte, NC 28269. A graveside service will follow at 2:00pm at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd. Charlotte, NC 28212.
