Lila Frye

Lila Elizabeth Kay Frye, 84, of Charlotte, NC, passed away peacefully on July 09, 2026 at home.

She was born on November 01, 1941 in Charlotte, and attended South Mecklenburg High School.

She retired from Wells Fargo after years of dedicated service. She was a lifelong member of the Woodlawn Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. Even after retirement she continued to work part-time at the church's childcare center.

Lila was a proud member of the IJ/L Alum and cherished the friends made.

She deeply valued her family and had a special place in her heart for animals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carol Frye, and son, William "Bill" Frye.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Kay Frye; grandson, Joshua Frye; great grandson, Isaiah Frye; brother-in-law, David "Melvin" Frye; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
