Kenneth Paul Buettner, 65, of Charlotte, passed away on Thursday, November 01, 2024 in Charlotte, NC. from natural causes. He was born in Smithtown, New York, to the late Charles A Buettner and late Frances Wojcieszak Buettner. His older brother Charlie pre-deceased him in July 2020.

He relocated with family in Charlotte NC. in 1978. He pursued building several houses with his family and his current residence in 1991.

Kenny was a skilled craftsman making specialty cabinets, for residential and commercial jobs. Making his living as a General Contractor in the construction home improvement industry. His love for music was evident and had a passion for collecting motorcycles and foreign cars.

Kenny was a wanderer at heart. He was always seeking new experiences and challenges and his passion for exploration was contagious, always seeing the good in people and situations. The love of his life Sara Overcash life partner and fiancé, they shared many wonderful moments and were engaged to be married. Though his journey on this earth has ended his spirit of adventure will continue to live on in our hearts.

He knew the values of kindness and the importance of unconditional love. His laughter could light up the darkest room. He always had a knack for making everyone around him smile.

He was also a man of great talent and passion. He taught us the importance of not taking life too seriously and finding joy in the small things.

Those who were lucky enough to know Kenny, knew that he was larger than life. His generosity and kindness were beyond measure. He was thoughtful and considerate nature, always tried to put others before himself. Kenny was loved by many and loved in his community.

Kenny is survived by brothers, Gerard Buettner and his partner John Nelson of Bohemia, NY, Raymond Buettner of Charlotte; his nephew, Christopher Buettner, wife Corie, and their children, Camden and Cole. His niece Danielle of College town PA. and her son’s Mason and Preston.

In lieu of flowers, please continue to shine Kenneth’ light in the world. Perform acts of kindness for others in his memory. 

·          A celebration of life will be held at: Saint Andrews Church 2201 Spring Avenue Charlotte North Carolina. Sunday November 17th,2024 @ 2pm. All are welcomed to attend.

·          Immediately following an Informal gathering is open to all in the recreation room on the lower level of the church.
