Frank Carrington Redford was born November 20, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Frank Young Redford and Hazel Virginia Carrington. As a youth, his family moved to Portland, Oregon, where
Frank would gain a love for the Pacific Ocean, hunting, camping, and fishing. While a student at Washington High School (Portland, Oregon), he ran for the Track team and was a Drum Major

Frank penned five booklets on becoming a better citizen and human being. Frank was employed throughout his life in the transportation, insurance, sales, and Chamber of Commerce industries. He loved to sing and write poetry. He was a self-taught ukulele player and composed two songs, as well. One of Frank’s favorite destinations was Hawai’i, which he wrote, composed, and sang about in his song titled, “Lovely Hawaiinei.” Frank was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved discussing the scriptures and sharing his love for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Frank was honest, kind, amiable, and loved to serve others.
