Florine F. Williams, 82 passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025.

Florine Williams was born on July 22, 1943 in Elm City, North Carolina. She resided in Raleigh, North Carolina for the majority of her earthly journey. After becoming unable to live the quality of life they would have wanted. She and her late husband Pete C. Williams moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2021. They resided with their daughter Tifonie and son-in-law Amahri for a while until entering Royal Park of Matthews in Matthew, North Carolina, where she departed this life on August 31, 2025. She completed her wedding vows after 64 years of marriage at the age of 83 years old.

Her parents, both of which preceded her in death were Emma Todd Tabron and Joe Green Tabron.  She was also preceded in death by her (husband) Pete C. Williams, (sister) Dorothea Tabron, (sister) Marjorie Stewart, (sister) Eula Powell, (brother) Harvey Lee Tabron, (brother) Alfred Tabron, and (brother) Bobby Ray Tabron.

Florine was born into humble beginnings as the daughter of sharecroppers. A devoted wife, nurturing mother, and exceptional homemaker and cook. Florine married her forever love, Pete C. Williams on September 30, 1961. Together, they built a loving home and raised four children. Florine’s determination and work ethic led her to work in Hospitality Services, and ultimately serving as an Assembler at ConAgra Foods (formerly known as Goodmark Foods), where she retired in 1991. Her life is a testament to strength, perseverance, and commitment.

Florine was a devoted woman of faith who gave her life to Jesus Christ at a young age, dedicating herself to His service. She began her spiritual journey at Oak Level Baptist Church in Elm City, NC, where she joyfully lifted her voice in the Gospel Choir and served on the Usher Board, always with a heart full of love and reverence for the Lord. After many years of faithful worship and service, at her first church home, Florine felt a divine calling for spiritual renewal. That calling led her to Springfield Baptist Church in Garner NC, where she and her beloved husband, the late Pete C. Williams, continued their journey together in the Lord.

Florine radiated warmth and joy everywhere she went. She lived life with an open heart and a vibrant spirit, effortlessly striking up conversations and turning strangers into friends. Always ready to lend a helping hand and give to those in need, she embodied kindness and compassion in both word and deed. Her love for family and friends was deep and unwavering, and her sweet, gentle nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She enjoyed shopping, restaurants, and looking good. To know Florine was to experience the light of a truly beautiful soul.

She leaves behind her cherished and precious memories of three daughters,

Meloney Brown (Steve), Wake Forest, NC, Dena Patton (Billy), Youngsville, NC, Tifonie Washington (Amahri), Charlotte, NC, one son Clea Williams, Charlotte, NC, stepdaughter Herita Jones, Greensboro, NC, goddaughter Sherry Cofield, Raleigh NC, one sister Ella Holden (Carson), Spring Hope, NC, and seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
