Delores McNair, 61, passed on Thursday May 4, 2023.

Delores Evans McNair was a humble and caring mother, sister, mentor, and friend. She will forever remain in our hearts. Delores was the second child born to the late John Wilson Evans and Minnie Lee Evans on March 27, 1962 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She departed this life on Thursday, May 4, 2023.

“Lois” as everyone called her, received her formal education through Charlotte Mecklenburg School system where she excelled in her studies. She was a proud graduate of West Charlotte High school class of 1980. Due to her bubbly and friendly personality, she landed her first job at Wendy’s. Years later, she was employed at Novant Healthcare as a Housekeeper Lead for over 15 years. Although she loved her role, establishing unbreakable friendships, and making memories, she decided it was her time to move on. She ended her career at Charlotte Mecklenburg School system on the transit operational team.

Delores enjoyed and celebrated life with her family and friends. In her leisure, she took delight in traveling, resting at home, and playing bingo and the lottery, as well as having meaningful conversations with her daughter, siblings and friends. She was big on giving and faithful in studying the word of God. 

Delores preceded in death by her loving mother, Minnie Lee Evans and father, John Wilson Evans and her sister, Johnny Mae Evans. She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Nerissa McNair; three brothers, Jackie Evans (Lutezenia), John Evans, Jr and Reuben Antonio Evans; two sisters Faye Sadler and Erica Nicole Alexander; nieces, NaQuala Evans, LaKeisha Evans, LaKieta Hood, Breana Whitaker, Minnie Sadler; nephews Thomas Grant, Jr, Cavarcia Young, Maurice Sadler, Cam’ron Sadler, and Amir Sadler; and a host of family and friends.
