Daniel Robert Collins

Born 11/1/1952 in Charleston SC to W.C.Collins and Trophena Hunt. Departed this life on January 5, 2022 at his home. 

He was preceded  in death by: Father W.C.Collins, Mother- Trophena Collins, Brother- Kenneth Collins, Sisters: Carolyn Phelps,  Beverly Collins.

Daniel leaves to cherish his memory, Spouse Tammra Doby Collins,Son Daniel Ray Collins, Daughter Michelle Collins Wallace (Jerry). Grandchildren: Britney Collins, Austyn Collins, Mackenzie Wallace, Colby Wallace. Brothers; David Collins (Bobbie), Alan Collins (Jackie), Sister: Shirley Collins (Ricky). A host of  nieces and nephews.

He attended West Mecklenburg High in Charlotte NC

Daniel joined the USMC April 1971 and was honorably discharged the same year due to a medical injury. He was a truck driver and in 1985 he opened D C and Associates. He owned and operated until he retired until 2010.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church on Mt Holly Huntersville Road and was very active in the men’s group. His favorite pastime was attending their fishing trip.

Celebration of Life will be February 5, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church, 2727 Mt. Holly Huntersville Road Charlotte, NC 28214. Family will receive friends from 12-1 with service at 1 pm.
