Barry Wayne Godwin

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA

October 9, 1957 - April 22, 2025

Barry Wayne Godwin, 67 of Denver, NC went home to be with his Lord on April 22, 2025 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House Aldersgate. 

Born October 9th, 1957, in Charlotte, NC, the eldest of five children to the late Billy and Betty Godwin. He was a hard worker all of his life, spending the largest part of his career sanding and refinishing hardwood flooring. In his spare time, he loved to work with his hands, play golf, and was an avid sports fan but his biggest love by far was being the World's biggest Dallas Cowboy fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Betty, as well as his wife, Joy. He is survived by his son, Steven, daughter Alyson and son-in-law Jay; as well as his siblings, brothers; Ricky, David, Danny, and sister Debbie; and nieces and nephews, Jessica, Brittany, Hannah, Noah, and Joey. 

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hunter Acres Baptist Church, 4520 Heman Dr, Charlotte, NC 28269.
