April Kathleen Harmon, born June 5, 1984, passed away on July 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 41 years old.

April was a vibrant, caring and genuinely funny woman. Her four children brought her an immense amount of pride and joy, and she was a deeply caring and devoted mother. She had an uncanny ability to light up any room she entered and made anyone who met her feel welcome and loved. Her love for animals was unmatched, and like her father, had a tendency to show up with a new 4-legged member of her family.

She is survived by her loving parents, Janet and Richard Harmon, her four children, her sister (brother in law), and her niece and nephew. Her deep love for her family, her courage while facing incredibly difficult times, and her contagious laughter will always be remembered.

A memorial service to celebrate April’s life will be held on Friday, July 25 at 11:00 AM at Central Church of God, located at 5301 Sardis Road, Charlotte, NC 28270. Friends and family are invited to attend, celebrate her life, and honor her memory. The family requests that attendees to the service wear purple, because it was her favorite color and she would not want it to be a somber occasion.
