Mr. Alexander Ricketts was born on December 20, 1932, in Wadesboro, North Carolina, to Lester and Ellen Jones Ricketts.
Surrounded by his loving family, Alexander peacefully departed this life on December 24, 2025.
Alexander attended the public schools of Wadesboro, North Carolina. In 1948, he relocated to Waterbury, Connecticut, where he met the love of his life, Adrienne Jeanette (Allen) Ricketts. They were united in holy matrimony and shared a devoted union of 70 years. From this marriage, they were blessed with three sons: Alexander, Larry, and Michael Ricketts.
Alexander was a hardworking man who dedicated more than 35 years of faithful service to Century Brass before retiring. He never met a stranger and always took time to stop and engage in conversation with others. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars. He deeply loved his family, and his contagious laugh brought joy to everyone around him.
Alexander was a devoted servant of the Lord and faithfully served as a deacon at Bethesda Apostolic Church in New Britain, Connecticut. After moving to Charlotte, North Carolina, he became a member of Calvary Apostolic Church, where he continued his walk of faith.
Alexander was preceded in death by his son, Alexander Ricketts; three sisters and two brothers.
Left to cherish his loving memory are his devoted wife, Adrienne Jeanette (Allen) Ricketts; his sons, Larry S. Ricketts and Michael (Brenda) Ricketts; grandchildren Sharron, Stephen, Jared, Jasmine, Kamile, Alicia, Erik, Alexander Ill Ricketts, Ashley Spells, Kieshla (Darrell) Young, Michaelyn Johnson, Sheneda Yopp, Sheana (Latravian) Collins, eightteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters Augusta Ricketts Dingle and Catherine Ricketts Taylor: and a host of nieces, nephews andother family members.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Calvary Christian Church, 3001 Kilbourne Dr, Charlotte, NC 28205.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and Funeral Service will start at 11:00 AM.
The Ricketts Family have entrusted arrangements to Roseboro's Mortuary & Crematory.
